Real Wedding: Jade and Daryl's Romantic Autumn Wedding

Real Wedding: Jade and Daryl
Jade and Daryl’s beautiful autumnal wedding celebration took place on a rainy Saturday in October 2019. The couple had visited us from London just under a year before to book their 3-night wedding stay. Featuring twinkling festoons, a gorgeous colour palette, a strong floral game and endless smiles from the bride and groom – this wedding is a true autumn highlight for all at Dewsall!
Daryl had proposed to Jade on a camping trip next to a fire pit, so when viewing Dewsall the discovery of our famous fire pit was a huge sentimental bonus. The couple would incorporate a sweet touch to this special moment later in their wedding plans.
On the morning of the wedding, guests savoured a continental breakfast in the conservatory before heading off to prepare for the day ahead. Jade and her maids enjoyed ‘getting ready fizz’ in the Dewsall Suite whilst the team at Rebel Rock arrived for hair and make-up. Over in the Skirrid Bedroom, Daryl and his groomsmen were adding the finishing touches to their outfits.
There was no holding back the ‘good luck’ rain, as the showers continued through the morning. There were floods across the UK and Dewsall was in fact, drenched!
The ceremony took place in The Wainhouse, where the florist, Luna in the Wild, had created beautiful installations for the oak beams filled with chic pampas grass and dried foliage.
Jade looked incredible in her a-line gown layered with a delicate lace overlay with capped sleeves. With her hair styled in a laid back-lux low bun she wore a long church-length veil.
With the rain still lashing down, Jade took the car from the house to the ceremony. A short journey, but staying dry made a big difference!
Eagerly anticipating Jade’s arrival, Daryl stood beaming in the company of his best man.
The civil ceremony took place at 1pm and was conducted by Herefordshire registrar, Janet Abel. Jade and Daryl wore radiant smiles throughout the service – perfectly captured by Red on Blonde Photography!
After the ceremony, Jade, Daryl and guests made their way to the main house for the drinks and canapé reception where they were joined by harpist Jemima Williams.

Over at The Wainhouse, the Dewsall team were busy transforming the ceremony space into the wedding breakfast set up. The beautiful stationery, which portrayed the season perfectly, was designed by Jade herself.
The couple opted for an all-round table plan to seat their 91 guests.
Jade and Daryl slipped off for some couple shots around the house and grounds. Despite the rain still very much in play, the wedding continued to exude romance and magic.
Guests made their way to The Wainhouse and took their seats for the wedding breakfast. Jade and Daryl were announced into the room, and upon entering they cut their wedding cake.
Jade’s father opened the meal with his Father of the Bride speech.

The couple’s return to The Wainhouse meant it was time for Daryl’s speech. Along with his three best men, they had the guests in stitches! More smiles for what had already been such a smile-filled and happy day.
As the evening drew in, guests made their way outside for a sparkler celebration before feasting on wedding cake and fruit skewers around the firepit – a nod to Daryl’s proposal to Jade.
Later that evening the couple took to the dancefloor for their first dance. Jade’s outfit was transformed for the evening with the removal of her lace overlay.
Guests partied the night away with friends and family as they danced to The Brotherhood band and feasted on homemade Dewsall pizzas!
